MIDWEST DRESSAGE ASSOCIATION MEDAL PROGRAM (Pilot Program)

The purpose of the MDA medal program is to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our competing members.  While we welcome scores from recognized shows, this program is designed for our schooling show competitors.  This program is a fundraising effort and all profits will go directly into the awards fund for future prizes and ribbons.

Qualification Requirements and Minimum Scores:
Must be or have been an MDA member at the time of earning a score.  There is no time limit for completing the medal qualifications, and the same rider can use multiple horses.  Scores must be from at least 4 different judges, from six different rides.  It does not matter what division was entered when the scores were earned, i.e. Open, Adult Amateur, and/or Junior. Western and classical scores cannot be combined to count toward the six scores, i.e. all six scores must be for either western or classical.  All scores must be from an MDA sanctioned schooling show or a USDF recognized competition. Medals do not need to be earned consecutively.
  • BRONZE MEDAL: Must have 6 scores of a 65% or higher of any Classical Introductory or Western Intro class
  • SILVER MEDAL: Must have 6 scores of a 65% or higher of any Classical Training Level or Western Basic Level class
  • GOLD MEDAL: Must have 6 scores of a 64% or higher of any Classical First Level or Western Level 1 class
  • PLATINUM MEDAL: Must have 6 scores of a 63% or higher of any Classical Second Level or above or Western Level 2 class or above
Once scores are earned, please send a $45 application fee via mailed check (MDA Treasurer, 1595 Witherspoon Way, Holt MI 48842) or $47 via paypal. Scores and photocopies of test can be uploaded via the below google form. After membership and scores are verified, an MDA certificate and pin will be mailed to the competitor.
